Out of the Blue

I braved the sweltering heat to mow the lawn yesterday, so our yard is currently tidy. I've mentioned in the past that we're not real lawn nuts: Since the yard is the dog's we don't do pesticides or fertilizer, and just do the best we can to keep it looking okay anyway. We also have a manual mower, which is more than sufficient to clear our little spot of land, and moving a couple of years ago to a Fiskars model proved to be a terrific upgrade. But I'm realizing we will most likely end up with more land when we move to the country, so I have to figure out what the breakpoint is for manual mowing... I'm guessing it's under an acre, so depending on our landscaping needs I may need to reconsider my manual mower. Or maybe we'll just live in a jungle. I guess I'll worry more about this when the time comes.

I used to do an acre with a motorized push mower every week
And that took you how many hours? Even a half acre with a home on is approaching the riding mower range in my book.
