Out of the Blue

There's lots of activity here in the BlueTower today as we continue to work to prepare our house for sale. There's a guy working in the bathroom while we wait for the tile guy to arrive. The bad news is he was supposed to be here yesterday and is also delayed today, but the good news is he's the contractor's "tile guy," so hopefully he'll do an extra spiffy job. We also have the landscaper removing some old railroad ties from the backyard, where they were used as small walls. This has left a wild rose out there without the short length of privacy fence that was supporting it, so it has basically fallen over. It doesn't matter that it looks like it was hit by a grenade, I'm waiting or MrsBlue to get home to make a call on cutting it down. I have a brown thumb, and will not take responsibility for any such gardening decisions.

There isn't much "attractive" about modern food preparation, period. If that video bothers you significantly, then vegan is a good move. Personally though, the only thing that video did for me was to remind me it has been a while since I've had veal, think I'll go out to dinner and get some.
That's fucked up mentioning veal. I live in a small town and would have to drive over 300 miles (round-trip) to get some.

fills the gas tank and checks the tires. ROAD TRIP

I thought you lived in Texas, where there's a two car garage on every house and veal in every freezer.

Ah yes, the death throes of the dairy industry. It won't be long now until cows milk is a delicacy instead of a staple.

Nobody want's to drink your abuse juice anymore. Given that 1/2 of the world already doesn't and never did drink it, and they still don't get osteoporosis there is no reason to drink cows milk.

Awwww... Cheese, shakes, yogurt, curd, ice cream - and I only want the REAL stuff without fake milk, because why replace it in the first place?! No, I love dairy products and always will.

Great video, I watched it while eating a denver omelette with extra cheese while drinking coffee with a splash of cream. yummy

+1 would watch again with a creamy bisque or scalloped potatoes.

Well, I'd say the AHCA is highly likely to screw me, seeing as I am currently getting a substantial subsidy. Here's to hoping the Ds manage to put it off somehow...

Oh, they can -- but the GOP controlled House won't. As I have said previously, barring a legally created recording of Trump admitting to a criminal offense, he will not be impeached.
The president can commit any crime he wants then grant himself clemency, per the Constitution. I bet the Repubs still would not impeach him.

Even Ornish allows for some nonfat dairy.

On the other hand it sounds like that study was fairly lacking in rigor.

I liked milk as a kid and I still like it now. Probably drank a half gallon or more a day all the way up to and through high school. Real milk, whole milk. Can't stand that 2% or skim stuff. And I can't say what portion it played, probably a lot less than my genes, but I did grow to be 6' 2.5" tall.

That said, I don't drink it that much these days because I prefer to not "drink my calories". But every now and then I'll splurge and buy a gallon.

Right, it's good theater, but we already know what he's going to say.

I'm not particularly wedded to Obamacare, but if we're going to replace it, let's get something that works. By all accounts the AHCA is just a massive tax cut for the wealthy dressed up as a health care bill.
