The storytelling was nice, the lore objects and atmosphere were great.
IMO The storytelling was shit. The atmosphere and art direction didn't really fit together, it was like a kid game compared to Diablo1 and 2. The STORY itself was pretty good, however it was told in a Disney fashion. Which is I guess all the rage these days. Just look at Overwatch, HOTS and Hearthstone. The expansion act was better, but still kids stuff compared to the predecessors.
I bought it, I played it for quite a bit, but in the end it didn't hold my attention like the first two games did, and it left a bad taste in my mouth. The Blizzard of today may have retained the production values of the Blizzard of old, but there is something missing. The love of gaming and the game itself, is one thing that is missing. The respect towards its fans, and especially towards the legacy the older founding members of Blizzard left, is another.
