The GOP is pro-business and anti-government. So, rules telling businesses they can't do what they want are "excessive regulation". They don't consider what the effect is on the consumer, that's not what they are interested in.
Truth is brutal. Prepare for pain.

The silence of the FCC actions from trump supporters speaks volumes.

Yeah this screams doing it for the forgotten people... my ass.

I just assume once the other guys get back in power, if this becomes terrible, they will then fix it. Is this going to be one of those differentiating things between parties? If so, another reason to go Demo. and most people now are internet users, Repubs on the wrong side of the issues again.

I find Trump to be a perfect example of why we should support estate taxes. Nevermind that someone so dumb has become arguably successful, his moron kids will be more successful than every single BN poster combined.
Well, if by successful you mean rich -- then you are absolutely correct. If you mean respected by the people who know them, only if those people are brainless fools looking to suck at the teat of the Trump wealth...

Err? So you are saying their silence indicates they are really against this decision? If that's what you are saying (and I admit I'm not sure what you are saying) I think you are mistaken.

Trump supporters believe what the right wing media tells them. And I have little doubt the removal of Net Neutrality rules are being characterized as a liberation of the little guy from excessive federal regulation.
It's like when Republicans support repealing the inheritance tax, which applies only if you inherit more than $5M. That law will never apply to 99% of Republicans.

Oh you mean the DEATH tax? (Dumb bastards read that and go "oooh death? I don't like that, that could happen to me!) As if there were any better person to tax than obscenely rich dead fucks.

They're also really good at re-branding laws. You can pretty much be sure that even though the house congressional budget office has no fucking clue how much Trumpcare will cost, the fact that it's called something like the America Freedom Health Bill or some shit means that it is robbing the poor to pay the rich.

New Products coming soon from ISPs.

Internet Gold package - access most popular big name sites and a monthly cap on all others.

Internet Blue package - access to three popular sites, and a very small monthly cap/throttle on all others.

Internet Basic - access to the ISP's portal and uncapped access to one other site a month, and no access to any other sites.

Hint, Basic will run you about what your current monthly bills is. Blue and Gold will be high end tickets for the 1%.

So this is where 20 years of corporations funding the rabble rousing knuckle dragging alt right radio and FoxTV, a rabble rouser President who talks the talk, but walks the corporate line while distracting the daily news cycle while the Republican Congress dismantles democracy and infrastructure and whatever else the robber Barons want.
