Battlefield 1 Spring Update

These Battlefield 1 Update Notes detail the Spring Update that's now live in the World War I first-person shooter (thanks VG247). This post is long and quite detailed, but the intro is a pretty concise summary:
Being a successful Battlefield player is all about playing the objective and working together as a team. With the Spring Update, we want to further push the team aspect of Battlefield and make teamwork an even bigger part of the experience – with the introduction of Platoons as this update’s central feature.

In this update, we are also releasing some much asked for server administration settings – yes, we heard you! More on that below.

Sorry, I misinterpreted your comment, I thought you were getting angry at the general mechanic. Yes, it's probably a good idea to make it even more obvious when a medic is coming to rez you. I mean personally it's clear as day to me, as you can already see the medic proximity. I gave it a pass when people bitched during the beta that most had literally not figured out this UI element yet, but it's been 6 months since launch, people should have figured this out by now. To me it seems a bit hand-holdey, but whatever, doesn't really detract from my experience.

I remember getting angry in bf3 and using the force respawn because either it felt like the medic was reviving for xp points cause i was sure to immediately die or the medic didn't look at the battle field and was giving anyone with a scope a freebie. I quickly realized I had the option to force respawn when appropriate and wait if the revive won't me or the medic at risk.

BF4 gave me the impression that i got revived and killed by enemies but I didn't assume hack since the game had issues, bugs etc..

Anyways, I always keep in mind that my team is made up of people no different those we see everyday. Doesn't matter, of you work,got to school, chill all day everyday you know what i mean. It's like a team made up of coworkers or class mates... the human variable is in full effect lol

IMO the only thing they really need to fix is simply add a "Custom" option to the server filter. Right now you can only search by "on/off" for a thousand different server variables.

Doesn't help that custom and hardcore have essentially been dead on PC for months.

What the point in having a billion options for custom games when people can't actually find them unless they search for SPECIFICALLY the exact options they want, or a combination of options...

I like custom games, I like hardcore, I'm sad to see that they don't really exist anymore. When you click "custom games" you get 5 or 6 custom playlists that have been curated by the devs, but they're always empty, I only get spit into an empty server. If I could see a custom game in the server browser, It would be a lot easier to fill them up IMO.

The whole reason people got mad in BF3 was medics reviving them when they didn't want to be revived.

If you're downed, you can clearly see the proximity of medics close to you, if you want to be revived, and you see a medic getting closer, you just wait.

If you DON'T want to be revived, then you force skip to respawn.

I don't have the slightest idea why you think that removing the control from the downed player just because YOU as a medic want the revive is smart.

How dare you.

I played a couple of rounds... fighters still seem pretty strong, too early to tell though.

Biggest issue is still teammates who cannot fathom capping/defending flags... it seems bad enough still, that I should probably quit to save my blood pressure.

The gunplay is still reasonably tight, enjoyable, but maybe not enough to outweigh idiots ruining games. No ammo drops, no revive, no capping/defense. Oh well.

More weapons... good, and the choices seem decent.

Most of the bug fixes/weapon balance changes seem decent as well, I'll check out the patch later tonight probably.

I think the damage to fighter planes from AA should probably be higher, right now the dominant air strategy is to use the fucking lawn darts from a fighter vs infantry, and be fast enough to avoid AA range and most ground fire, while STILL being able to shoot down slower planes... seriously need a fighter rebalance/nerf.

I assume the dart changes listed will help, but the fighters seriously dominate the air at this point, while still being able to wreck infantry.
