The game is fun, the plot is meh and the dialogue is atrociously bad.
The planets are massive
the combos are great
the settings are awesome.
I can't believe how stupid the prologue is.
Also, why can't they do emergency breathing using one helmet? I thought that part was horrible as well.
So I don't think that the dialogue is atrocious by any stretch, it's just cheeseball, it's campy sci-fi. That's really where the genre was born from, not big bad space epics like Star Wars, but more like Star Trek. Campy sci-fi might not be your cup of tea, nor what you want from the franchise, but I don't think you can say it's objectively bad at all.
And yes, the planets are indeed massive, and the re-worked combat system is a definite improvement.
Also, how was the prologue stupid? I kind of miss that part of the game now that i'm in the back half slog across planets and knocking off a hundred quests I have piled up... It set the stage for what is happening in Andromeda. I'm sure there might be some particulars about why you think it's bad, I just can't think of any aside from them not going further in explaining some details about how it all came about, but you can hardly hold that against them, as that info you also pick up throughout the course of the game.
