Of course I'll buy a switch day 1. Never missed a day 1 Zelda and I'm not about to now! Specs? What a pain for devs.

As you may already know, not clear by your post, Zelda almost certainly won't be launching with the Switch in March

Piss! I did not know that. I thought it was launching with the console. What a bummer. Thanks for the link.

They haven't lost me. Nintendo has enough unique titles, plus old, cheap classic games on Virtual Console. It's not for everyone though.

Another technologically backward console with a gimmick. After how badly they bungled the WiiU they lost me as a customer. Only a Retro developed Metroid could pique my interest at this point.

If the gimmick is good, it doesn't need the graphics. Great graphics won't make a great Nintendo game better. Yes, it won't get Call of Battlefield 18, but it will get new Mario, Zelda, Smash Brothers, and Mario Kart games. Games that run very well with older hardware.

If the price point is right, this works. I just doubt the price point is right. At $249, this is a buy for a lot of people. At $299, suddenly this falls apart.

$199 on Black Friday? I'd almost definitely buy this. $199 and a Mario game? Done deal. From a guy that hasn't owned a Nintendo console since the GC (one of my all-time favorites), but owned a PS3 and Xbox 360.

As you may already know, not clear by your post, Zelda almost certainly won't be launching with the Switch in March. That said, there will likely be stock issues (whether on purpose by Nintendo or not) with the Switch for awhile. So if you want to pick up and play Zelda on its day 1 a few months after Switch launches, it would definitely be wise to pick up a system as quickly as possible.

Sauce.
