Explore and exploit distant worlds in ASTRONEER – A game of aerospace industry and interplanetary exploration.
Explore and reshape distant worlds! Astroneer is set during a 25th century gold rush where players must explore the frontiers of outer space, risking their lives in harsh environments for the chance of striking it rich.
On this adventure, a player’s most useful tool is their ability to shape their world, altering the terrain and extracting valuable resources from planets, and moons. Resources can be traded or crafted into new tools, vehicles, and modules to create everything from massive industrial bases to mobile rover bases.
- Reshape terrain as though it were made of Play-Doh.
- Survive on and explore procedurally generated planets that can be entirely deformed and traversed.
- Build vehicles and travel to new planets and moons.
- Snap together components and objects to create custom vehicles and modules.
- 4 player online drop-in/drop-out co-op.

I will second that Empyrion is really good.
Watched some vids, snatched it up to try it out.
How is it, relatively? I know you play a lot of this kind of game.
Need more time in it, I was extremely lucky on my first landing and had a Guardian Outpost, neutral beings, who didnt care that I took absolutely every material from their coffers. So I had a great jumpstart in building my tiny beginner base.
MrGrosser and I fired up a dedi server and werent so lucky. I started dropping in near a huge structure while he headed for the lake ** spoiler and turned out it was a drone base and got instantly blown up, was actually pretty awesome.
I think it may be more of a grind now but with two of us chipping away should be ok.
I am looking for a Terrerria or Starbound FPS and they each have elements of them but havent found that sweet spot yet.
I was watching some Life is Feudal vids and friends say it is a HUGE grind but looks closest to what I want....

Ugh, another Space Engineers clone/shovelware...
Get the original, it's less buggy, and has way more things to see and do.
They really nailed the annoying vocals in the trailer music.

Visually, Empyrion certainly looks like a much better choice.
Thanks for the heads up, all. Never heard of this game before.

EMPYRION is the best damn NMS-killer out there right now!
Literally every game ever made is better than NMS. I think the NMS comparisons should stop now.![]()

4 player online drop-in/drop-out co-opNot true drop in drop out. You create a new player for each world you join, can't bring anything over like Terrarria or Starbound. Also the biggest bug right now is unable to join a friend's world, just crashes.
