Okay. No more snow in the UK for instance? The scrubbed article WAPO -- the incoming ice age Blahblahblah trees/food shortages/no more REM's/noble elements/etc
Same shit, going on nearly 40 years. Doom and gloom, and you wonder why people are saying it's bullshit? I personally like the "there will be no more natural gas by 1981." Just a FYI in the region between Grande Cache and Grande Prairie, Alberta there's enough NG to supply the US at current usage for 40-70 years.
Yeah sure let's just ignore the past hundred years of scientific advances in modeling and meteorological study to focus on the few inaccurate predictions. Predictions based on the science and models of the time which continue to evolve. Looking back a hundred years people did all sorts of archaic shit with medicine and surgery but you still go to the hospital when its required these days, don't you? You don't say "well some quack experimented on people in asylums and said all sorts of inaccurate shit so that's all just bullshit TODAY".
I don't really care if someone said the world was going to end in 1981 or that we will run out of natural gas. Those aren't the reasons to take climate change seriously. I look at how it will impact future generations and how it will impact world economies which in turn affects political stability. I don't give a shit about Al Gore and his mission, I do care about leaving a sustainable future for my kids.
More importantly, go read this article and tell me with a straight face you're trusting a wordpress blog and a site that brazenly posts fake news regularly over actual meteorologists.
