Lower taxes leads to a super wealthy class and the rest of us being minimum wagers. I'm always amazed at how few people understand this. Here's a nice graph of income growth.
. It isn't the most intuitive, but what it shows is that, over the past 3 decades, only people with the top 15% of salaries have had their salary grow faster than the average. In other words, only our wealthiest are getting income increases.
Why? Taxes. Every country listed there is much, much harsher on the top tax brackets than we are.
Or, putting it another way, our mean income is growing much more rapidly than or median income.
Rich get richer, everyone else gets poorer. Thanks, taxes!
