Ah, Britain. People forget their tendency to 1984 the fuck out of their people. They've had cameras pretty much everywhere public or semi-public for decades. I'm sure the pro-Bexit voters were too ignorant or "well I'm not the one they are looking for"-ish to care.

With the election of Trump, and the people he's nominating for security positions, we'll soon be in the same boat.

We already were in a similar position with the last administration. But I'm sure now that people don't have their chosen elect in office, all will be ignored so blame can be focused on a new elect. And the 'fans' of the new elect will totally ignore crimes, just like 'fans' of the last elect ignored the last admin's crimes, because as long as people have 'their guy' in office nothing changes on these fundamentals. All Presidents have been beholden to it and have not challenged the National Security Act since 1947.

They could make forced anal dildoing at 4pm daily

Try The Guardian. They have a nice USA section that comes up automatically if you access from the USA.

Unlikely. The UK is an irrelevant player on the world stage compared to the US or China.

Ostensibly it's a trashy British publication, but it's pandering to a global audience, and more specifically, a US one, hence the frequent usage of US rather than UK English and the obsession with predominantly US celebrities.

They make TMZ look like amateur hour.
