A few observations:
1. SQ42 has a much higher chance of success vs. the PU. First, it has a limited scope. Second, it's being run by Erin Roberts who has a good track record. So this isn't as much of a bonehead move by Bourn as it would initially appear on the surface.
2. Say what you will about SC, but I can go DL the alpha, play it, and provide feedback to the dev team. This has been ongoing for years, and while their pace indicates they'll run out of money well before they deliver what they've promised, the basic mechanisms are coming along nicely for all to see. The same cannot be said of NMS which almost no one beyond those fellating pukes over at IGN had played before launch. Had the game gone through at least a closed beta, they would have realized what a disaster they had on their hands and could have made changes to improve it.
To prevent CV-19, avoid the Serious Seven: weddings, funerals, faith-based activities, bars, gyms, house gatherings and other small events.
