Battleborn "Day" Underway [Nov 11, 2016, 6:20 pm ET] – Share – Viewing Comments
The
Battleborn website has details on a "Battleborn Day" organized by the
community to support Gearbox's first-person shooter/MOBA. This is officially
taking place tomorrow, but it's already underway, and will run through Sunday
morning. The idea is to entice new players to the game and guide them through
the learning experience. This originated on the
Battleborn Reddit, and Gearbox is supporting the event, though they
haven't gone so far as to make the game free-to-play for the duration. Here's
what they are doing:

It's a very under-exploited sub-genre, and SOME game will come along and do well enough that it will get alot of players...
But come on, even if it wasn't a pretty damn niche genre, that's not a reason to knock something. "those indy devs pumping out ANOTHER platformer game, into a crowded platformer market". 30 years and 1000's of titles and people still like a good platformer. They also still make movies under the "Comedy" and "Drama" banners. SO PLAYED OUT! GAW!

I miss this game, well, I don't miss waiting 20+ minutes to find a match, but the game was fun. They can't go F2P fast enough.
I'm guessing that they still have a marginal following of players on console that they're going to try and squeeze some money out of first, then slam the door on their nuts by making all that F2P.
Pretty tragic, because it's a genuinely fun game, no multiplayer DLC, FPS-MOBA gameplay, and it's all in a boarderlands style, complete with the great humour and satisfying gunplay.

Well, there's your problem.
It says you'll be able to play with the devs but, if the devs are the only ones playing, THAT could be a little...awkward.

They forgot to mention the newly released DLC that nobody is going to buy.
