Dungeon Keeper Free on Origin

EA's On the House program now features the original Dungeon Keeper, offering a chance to own this strategy classic for free. First released in 1997 by Bullfrog Productions when Peter Molyneux could still be considered a promise keeper, the game offers a reverse dungeon crawler where you play as the bad guy defending his keep. The free version requires an Origin account, and they say once added, the game is yours to keep. Thanks VG247.

Not the apocalypse. That would require something to happen. It's more like they promise the apocalypse, but only manage to break a few dishes instead.

You're making me feel safe again. I no longer fear them starting a kickstarter to finance... THE APOCALYPSE! (Is there anything like an "Early Access" to Apocalypse?! Or an "Early Bird Reward"? An alpha or beta version of the Apocalypse? Sounds kind of wrong somehow.)

On a personal note I also greatly enjoyed and recommend the similar styled game Evil Genius. It's 12 years old now but the art style holds up.

Their combined promise would be so impossible that it would violate the laws of physics, turning the planet inside-out with a bullshit singularity.

More free stuff and I am completely fine with it. Particularly when it's a truly classic game.

?? What's with the resentment in this thread?

Origin is about as bad as Steam is these days, in other words, don't buy the junk, get the good deals if you're interested, and move on.

Dungeon Keeper is one of my favorite games, all time. I have it on Gog(and on original CD), but I'll probably get this Origin version too, because hey, why not?

Dungeon Keeper 2 is pretty great also, so really the majority of the series is good to great.

Dungeon Keeper Mobile is the best one though cuz the graphics are prettiest. Devil

On a serious note, while I had a lot of trouble signing up for Origin years ago (failed on my first two emails rendering them unusable with no account), I've not had any issues since. In fact, the client is less obtrusive than Steam.
