Out of the Blue

I toodled off to BJ's to pick up the Civil War disc on sale yesterday. Trouble is they hadn't gotten around to putting them out yet. This still seemed like a win when I found one last package of those LED light bulbs for twenty bucks tucked away somewhere (I have to correct myself, these were eight packs, not 10-packs). All feelings of triumph evaporated when I found a shopping cart mated to my car door when I returned to the lot. There wasn't another car in the area, and the cart hit hard enough to fold in the side view mirror, so I'm having a hard time believing this wasn't deliberate. But even if it was an accident, it was clearly a failure to properly return that cart, and the incident has me feeling all sorts of salty right now.

I made $3.26 selling those Steams "cards" you occasionally get while playing games. Not exactly rolling in it, though. But just think: 24 more cents and I'll have tree fiddy.

I nearly got into a fist fight at Costco recently over a shopping cart ding, not super proud of it. My GF was there to calm me down and probably saved me from a court appearance. Sometimes that testosterone just gets going and you forget its just a big hunk of plastic/metal, not worth the hassle even if its some asshole ticking off the "life aint fair" box for you that day.

It's hard not to go off. Especially if you're a generally considerate person. I get so sick of people shopping leaving their carts in the middle of the aisle. I don't even say excuse me anymore, I just 'Behind' to let them know I'm behind them, or just shove them out of the way. Don't tell me 'Sorry' or 'Excuse me', show some real courtesy and consider other people to fucking begin with. Seriously, how fucking hard is it to keep your cart over to one side of an aisle?

It's the same shit in parking lots. Which is why I tend to park further away. It never ceases to amaze me how utterly selfish so many people are and park like they just don't give a fuck. Taking up two spots, or close enough you can't get in without dinging their vehicle with your door. A few months ago was the first time in my life I ever keyed someones vehicle. This motherfucker parked right up on me. Actually knocked my mirror out of place. I had to crawl in through the passenger side to get into my car. So, it was like, 'Ok, fuck you.' As as I was backing out, window went down, screwdriver came out, 'There ya go asshole. A little fuck you very much to remember me by.' Nice big line down his shiny new vehicle. I fully admit, it felt awesome.

i feel you bro. it's the principle of the thing. you can't let that shit go cuz it just reinforces their sociopathic behavior and you want to be able to put up some kind of roadblock for it.

I always feel like when I actually return the shopping cart to the cart canopy, there should be "confetti and balloons and a guy in a plaid jacket shaking my hand"....

I cancelled my Amazon order to save $2.00.

I will ask about cameras, but it doesn't seem like that sort of lot.

How much did you burn in gas to save that $2?

The amateurs don't know how drunk they are, but we pros sure do. Being drunk is a skill like any other sport.

Yeah, that's usually why I park at the far end of the lot and walk. So many selfish pricks can't even bother to park properly. I sure don't like making my vehicle an easy target.

Yeah, I would check with the store and ask if you can see their camera footage for the time you were there. If they won't, you can go to the cops and they can request it if they're feeling helpful.
