Why do you come to Blues News instead of going to Steam, Youtube, Ars Technica, etc? Videosift is a video amalgamator. Blues is a gaming news amalgamator. If you dislike that, why are you here?

I think quite a few of the videos are ones that Blue finds using Videosift so he directs to where credit is deserved. He addressed this a few months ago, IIRC basically it is a quick way to find interesting videos so he can spend more time on actual gaming news.
I don't mind Videosift and it works fine for me. Much better than nothing, which was the alternative. |

I always end up having to open the video on the Youtube site because the videosift.com site is a pain. Not to mention this time I tried to do the usual and it tells me "You've Been Blacklisted..". If that awful videosift site is used to help people at work who may have the youtube site blocked, I'd suggest instead using www.nsfwYouTube.com. It simply embeds the youtube video onto the page handily using it's video's URL id.
for example... http://www.nsfwyoutube.com/watch?v=WZlyz6LL6vg
Also with nsfwYouTube you don't even need to enable scripts for the nsfwYouTube site to watch Youtube videos via it (unlike the heinous Videosift). Add to that some element blocking and you end up with a page showing almost nothing more than the video you want.

Blue posts the links that people send him. Some people send him links to videosift because that's where they find the videos. I don't think there's any deep conspiracy beyond that. |
