Win10 EULA explicitly lets Microsoft take your files at any time they want, for any reason. It also lets it mess with the software and drivers you installed, without your consent.
Also, third-party utils which claim to disable Win10 spyware, appear powerless to completely stop Win10 from sending random data to Microsoft.
That is all a rational person should know about Win10.
*Points to your router* You know... this thing which isn't subservient to your computer OS and can, OMG, BLOCK whatever it wants no matter what your OS does? Please... stop with the fearmongering. I had numerous problems with win 10, but none to do with its supposedly Orwellian tendencies. Those can be dealt with very easily, it just takes time and a bit of effort.
Or, y'know.. you could just get an O/S that doesn't function like this and require IP/range blocking for it's known spying tendencies.
Don't support MS when they shovel shit like this out. Not with Windows Vista, not with Windows 8, and *certainly* not with Windows 10. Sure, it's free.. but you're still supporting them and allowing them to earn revenue from injecting AD's and "Bing searches" into your operating system. And, that they will be charging money for this soon is beyond appalling..
You know some higher-up's are just foaming at the mouth trying to get people on-board so they can hit their projected numbers and fatten their bonuses. Fuck Microsoft, and fuck their inability to better their product without following their shitty fucking competitor Apple. I'd say they've become worse in alot of ways. I don't see AD's being served into OSX, redirects for searches being sent to some shitty search engine that nobody wants to use, and should have control over.
That people can't comprehend this beyond "oh I'll just block some things and everything will be peachy kreen!" is fucking baffling. This is the direction you want O/S' to head in? Really?!
