*Points to your router* You know... this thing which isn't subservient to your computer OS and can, OMG, BLOCK whatever it wants no matter what your OS does? Please... stop with the fearmongering. I had numerous problems with win 10, but none to do with its supposedly Orwellian tendencies. Those can be dealt with very easily, it just takes time and a bit of effort.

You are treating this as an OS issue, but it is the company issue. The internal policy on how to treat the user, has changed drastically, it is in the EULA you agreed to, and it will persist.

So, you're going to collect a block of IP addresses that Win10 contacts, and block them in your router? Great!

Then, one or more of the following things are going to happen. Maybe most won't, but at least one will.

* Win10 will start contacting some other addresses which were hardcoded all along, but with a pause, to make you feel like you got all the right ones blocked.

* At some point you will decide to re-enable Windows Update service in order to install an update you believe you actually need. That update will also alter the way Win10 sends your telemetry, and get around the block. Maybe it will also uninstall some "unauthorized" drivers and software, y'know, for your own safety, you big baby.

* At some point your Skype or another MS-dependent service or game will stop working entirely, because they will tie it to the spyware IP block.

Windows 10 has been known to revert people's settings already and mess with their software. It is a trojan horse that cannot be trusted. The obnoxious and patronizing attitude with which MS treats the user now, has been seen not only in Win10 itself, but in it installing the Win10 upgrade without user discretion.

As for you not experiencing problems with Win10 spyware... that's actually how spyware works. It's not there to "create problems" that you can see.
