Gosh, who`d`ve thunk, back in the day, that "the future" will be ever so lame?

Is the counter for UPS and Fedex to create their own eTralier businesses? Since I guess actual retailers want to use non-professional services for delivery. A world of... "hey I see your in the neighborhood, would you like to". Sounds like a MMO to me!

Best line of the story: "Our personal shoppers, highly-trained Walmart associates, will carefully select and prepare their order."

Where have they been hiding these "highly-trained" associates?

Sorry, I'm a little touchy after going to our local Wally World to pick up an on-line order. When I placed the order I was clearly told I would be sent an e-mail when the order was ready for pickup. after several days of no notification, I checked the order status only to see it was waiting for pickup. Drove to the store only to find no associate manning the pickup counter. Then someone did come, but had no keys to open the storage room. So smooth and efficient it wasn't. Wal-Mart has a ways to go to come close to shopping with Amazon.
