Just because I have a sword, a mech, spells, or six-shooters...to me that is mostly cosmetic...but if you feel that is enough innovation for you...fair enough.
Well what do we have here, a dude with a lot to say about something he obviously hasn't tried. That much is obvious from that quote. You just cannot say the different Overwatch classes mainly just differ in cosmetics and not make a complete fool of yourself in the process. Even if you quote me on this and tell me you HAVE played Overwatch, it will be extremely hard for me to believe you.
The gameplay per class differs A LOT. It is in fact the unique selling point of Overwatch. There's, what.. 20 classes? And they all differ so much from eachother. Pressing [shift] as Soldier 76, you sprint. Pressing [shift] as Pharah, you jetback high into the air. As Junkrat, you drop a mine. As Symmetra, 1/6 turret. As Mercy, you fly towards the teammate you aim for to come to their healing resque. As Reinhardt, you charge into enemies slamming them into walls. As the Reaper, you become incorporeal for 4 seconds giving you the opportunity to either charge into fights or flee from them while being harmless and immune in the meantime.
And that's just [shift]! With the [right mouse-button] Soldier 76 shoots a bomb. Pharah hovers. Junkrat deploys a beartrap. Symmetra... Can't remember. As Mercy, you channel a DPS buff onto the teammate you aim at. Reinhardt holds before him a one-way barrier to shield himself and his allies. As the Reaper, you can teleport to a different spot within your visual, limited range.
Classes differ so much, it really makes all the difference. Please don't bullshit.
