Starting to think about building a new gaming PC... My last build was about 2-½
years ago, and I was coming off a loud machine, my goal was for it to be quiet,
which it is. Ownership of a quiet PC has just made me greedy for more, and I
would really like the next one to be silent, but I am a performance hog too, so
I will probably settle for quieter if silent requires cutting too many corners.
I'm not 100% committed to this, but this is what's currently bouncing around my
head pretty hard, so I think this may happen.

I would love to do a new PC build. Running a 4670k, that I failed the silicon lottery on. It's hard to justify the expense of Skylake, for such meager performance gains. The chip also runs hot, so the fans are always running in high gear. I suspect the factory TIM, but don't want to fix it for fear of it going wrong.
I will probably pick up either a 1070 or 1080, but that doesn't qualify as a rebuild.
