He says about 1900 times how horrifically they failed on Titan, but never actually explains a single word about WHY it failed. What about it was a failure?

In the past someone higher up basically said that nothing worked cohesively and that it simply wasn't fun. I'm sure there are detailed explanations as to why but it sounds like they were just trying to mishmash disparate game systems together and that it never worked out.

And that's specifically mentioned in this video. He says the problem was that all the separate teams didn't come together and actually got territorial working only to protect their piece of the game over others.

Completely unsurprised about Titan. Blizzard really struggled to turn out quality games after they lost a lot of the original devs who quit before WoW released. Nobody really realized it because for a long time all they were releasing was WoW expansions, then SC2 came out and was rather underwhelming, and then D3 really blew everyone away with how awful it was at release. It's only since then that they've finally started to turn things around again (and even since then, WoW has still continued its downward spiral).

Here you have these great projects like StarCraft, Heroes of the Storm, Hearthstone, World of Warcraft, and then you're sitting on the smoking pile of a cancelled project.

Kaplan confirms Diablo 3 as "not great"! But really, it would have been nice to read what they failed at horrifically and more information about Titan than just throwing everyone under the bus and turn it in to an ad for Overwatch.

That story would be interesting. This article/video has absolutely nothing to do with it though, just more Oversnatch hype. I get the feeling they are very embarrassed about Titan, as in looking back at it they can only say "What the fuck were we thinking?"

Unless they thought we were under the impression they cancelled what would have been major company defining success, they said nothing we didn't already know. Did it suffer from over management, a creative team that couldn't pick a definable direction? That would be a story; Kaplan saying, "We messed up guys, we messed up bad." isn't.

Of all the cancelled MMOs, this one wasn't high on my list. Realms of Torment for ambition and Imperator for potential

I'd love to see what Titan was all about.
