My internet was acting more reliably for a while, but recently started misbehaving again with frequent disconnections.
These are always brief,
but it is still quite aggravating to get dropped from games and voice chat all
the time. I
finally got fed up and made an appointment for Verizon to come and
reinstall FiOS. The problem is they don't offer TV in this area (word is our local
politicians have a shockingly high bribe floor), so I can't get one of their
"triple play" bundle deals. What's bizarre about this is how they quoted me a higher
price for internet and phone service than they offer for the triple play! I had
to kick and scream and get a supervisor on the phone to get to the point where
they were not going to charge me more for two services than they would charge
someone else for three. Having successfully negotiated for sanity, now I
just have to wait a week for the installation, which will hopefully put my
internet issues behind me.
