Star Wars Battlefront: Outer Rim Released

The Star Wars Battlefront website announces the release of the Outer Rim expansion for the Star Wars action game, available as an individual purchase, or as part of a season pass. Among other things, this adds a new Extraction mode to the mix. "In an effort to encourage the community rally around our smaller, close quarter game modes in the same way, we’ve created Extraction," explains lead designer Dennis Brännvall. "This mode features high-intensity choke points, rewarding flanking routes, deeper tactical mechanics and, of course, heroes." Here's more:
Extraction takes place on four maps: two different locations within Jabba’s Palace and two areas in the factories of SoroSuub. Rebel forces have entered some of the most dangerous places in the Outer Rim in order to extract a valuable shipment of resources. Now they must bring the shipment to their transport ship before time runs out. The Empire has scouted their location, realized their intentions and arrived to stop them from reaching the extraction point.

“Your job as a Rebel is to push the shipment through the entire level to reach the extraction point – where a Rebel transport will fly down and take the shipment away. The shipment will pass through several checkpoints along the way that adds more time for the Rebels. The timer starts out at 5 minutes and each checkpoint adds another 5 minutes to the timer, for a total of 15 minutes to get the shipment to the Extraction Point,” Brännvall explains.

When I was employed by the Empire I used to hire people to work on the outer rim, and I enjoyed that a lot. But I stopped talking about it because I always got weird looks when I said that I loved giving outer rim jobs.

You and Rusty Griswald.

I rather play that mod that is being made by some folks to turn the game into something EA failed to do.

What Mod is that? Do you have a link? I'd like to track the development.

Therewas one and had some stuff already but EA noticed and now you only see this:

EA killed the mod but u can still find some left over info and pics if u google it such as:

The way EA handles their games makes me sick. Greedo and Nien as "new" content?!?!? PLEASE! What level of friggin laziness and overt greediness do they need to achieve here?!?! 2 models that are already in the game, and wow, they give them a reskin. THEN charge you a premium for it, along with extra maps that should have been in the game in the first place. It makes me truly sick and sad to see EA exploiting the gaming industry like this, and I believe everyone should stand up against practices like this. We're not going to get the games we want with EA having the SW license (IE full finished games). If I could, I'd seriously refund my entire Origin catalogue.

Didn't this used to start with an early release for season pass holders or xbox owners or something then 2 weeks later anyone could buy / play it?

Guess those season passes aren't selling so well?

Maybe I'm thinking of call of duty...or was that battlefield? Who fucking care anymore.

Keep charging money for something that should have been included with the original game release.

No money for you EA.

I won't uninstall it, but have no desire to play it either. Been playing more Titanfall.
