Total War: WARHAMMER Delay; Specs

Creative Assembly announces a new release date for Total War: WARHAMMER, saying to expect the fantasy strategy game on May 24th, a month later than previously planned. "This could be the best Total War game we’ve ever made. We don’t want to rush it," explains Mike Simpson, Creative Director for Total War. "It’s an enormous game and we also want to make absolutely sure reviewers have enough time to play it thoroughly before launch. Many thanks to the huge number of people who have pre-ordered and are eagerly awaiting release day. We’re pulling out all the stops for you." Because usually when a game has a sequel, you expect the game to be equally good or better. Not worse. If it was a new IP, it wouldn't have received the criticism, but it wouldn't have sold nearly as well. I'm not going to mention the game breaking bugs at launch.

I don't buy SEGA/CA games since Barbarian Invasion.

Part of the problem is that RTW is one of the best RTS's ever, but that's overlooking how generic and uninspiring RTW2 is.

IMHO rome 2 suffered from the same problem that civ5 did (for me at least), it simply wasn't as good as the previous. Rome 1 was an epic game and got lots of things right. It didn't need a massive improvement, simply an evolution of "drop the click fests". Empire total was was good but the ranged combat was marmite to most.

Shogun 2 pissed me off simply due to the artificial limiters put on you for expansion (to make up for the shoddy AI) mods did fix a lot of this though.

I'll not bother with warcraft as I have no interest in the warcraft universe.

Could it be that they finally made the engine full 64bit? And yeah, after Rome 2 I will wait long before even considering this.. though I am a warhammer fan ;//

Yeah, after Rome 2...I think I am going to give this one a wide berth. Shogun 2 didn't exactly wash the taste of it out of my mouth.

Best avoid Rome 2.

Such a terrible game. Worst decision on purchasing a game I've made in years
