Actually Twitter use is in decline. You've held out long enough to see it both rise and fall. It peaked in the summer of 2014. 15% of Americans uses Twitter, which is still a very impressive number, but not in comparison to Facebook at 58%. LinkedIn, Snapchat, Instagram, even Google+ have higher penetration percentages than Twitter.
