Out of the Blue

The chili turned out to be quite tasty, if maybe a little on the mild side, at least relative to how I usually make it, I'm pretty sure it's still way too spicy for most people's tastes. The snow lasted throughout the day yesterday, so I got out to deal with it first thing. There was probably a bit over a foot of snow out there, which is a lot less than much of the surrounding area. It still took a good couple of hours to dig us out, which has me good and tired out. Time to heat up some chili and watch some playoff football! :)

Yes, I meant that also. Considering they said the cost for an entire bridge for a three day storm was $250, I'm guessing it's within the affordable range.

Many new bridges have a deicing system installed. See them a lot here in MN. Helps a TON.

Some newer City Hall buildings are also installing heated concrete. Shovel, turn it on, sweep off the rest, can shut it off. My guess is if you can afford to install it, you are not worried about the price to run it.

Honestly, run it for 20 years straight - covers approximately one lawsuit if someone falls with no system in place!

Agreed. I don't follow the sport much, but all I hear about them is cheating.

Can I also say how utterly amusing it was to have CBS constantly reporting about how the MICROSOFT SURFACES weren't functional at all, and they were trying to fix them etc etc etc. 400 million dollars of advertising money, and all MS has to show for it so far is ~ 6 months of everyone calling the Surface "an Ipad", and now everyone gets first hand advertisement of what a terrible piece of shit hardware it really is.

As usual, another Job Well Done by Microsoft. It was hilarious.
That was a good game. Denver Defense looked ferocious. I didn't get to watch the NFC game, but damn, what a blowout. It will make for a good SB hopefully: a great defense against a great offense.

Warning to non-spicy eaters: Do NOT eat Ghost Pepper anything unless you're at least used to eating at like Habanero level or hotter.

I'd be interested in knowing the cost to do a standard driveway...

I always find the inability of the East coast to handle snow and weather a bit funny. We get that kind of snow in Minnesota and we just go about our business and go to work. Doesn't really affect much, maybe some school late starts.....

In Dec 2010, we got almost 2 feet of snow in 24 hours. Roads were cleared pretty quickly, took a few days for the plows to do the alleys, but when you own a Jeep.....
