My talk yesterday of winter boots seems to have inspired old man winter, as we
have our first real snow of the season this morning. Real is relative, as the
accumulation isn't much more than an inch, but this has been such a warm, dry
winter it seems like a blizzard. That said, I'm not sure that I'll even have to
shovel this, I think it will probably melt off on its own before I get around to
it.

But yeah, this sucks. Sadly I'm not as familiar with Bowie as I should be (I know his hit singles though), but Alan Rickman was one of my favorite actors.
