I'm quite disappointed in my winter boots. I just picked these up last year as part of my project to improve my winter wardrobe, and I got these insulated Columbia Bugbear boots that I fell in love with because they were super warm and comfortable. Now that we've had a couple of cold days I've gotten to wear them this year, and the first time I tightened them, one of the cloth lace loops broke. They are still usable this way, but yesterday another broke, so these things are on their way out. This is probably salt-related corrosion, but the cloth is clearly not up to the rigors of winter. I see there's an older model of this boot with metal loops, and I since liked them so much I think I'm going to give them another try in a better form and hope it works out better.
