There is something about showers that just kill watches smart or otherwise. Even watches that are waterproof die in the shower.

When I was young I had a watch I virtually never took off, bathing, showering, swimming, horse riding, rock climbing etc, had to replace the rubber straps with nylon or whatever and that eventually wore through too, basically you get the idea the thing never died (it did have a tiny digital display so wasn't purely mechanical). Eventually I just stopped using it.

Sometimes it seems like "they don't make things like they used to" and sometimes it seems like they makes things, design things, specifically to have a point of failure, consume consume consume.

I'd gladly have no scanners at all and instead a sd card slot + removable battery.

Hey what do you know.

Rumor: Samsung Galaxy S7 will cost you more money, but comes with an iris scanner.

Hooray?

Yup... Same for that fingerprint scanner. I'd gladly have no scanners at all and instead a sd card slot + removable battery.
