We receive some donations from our users, but our main source of revenue comes as part of the Acceptable Ads initiative. Larger entities pay a licensing fee for the whitelisting services requested and provided to them (90% of the licences are granted for free, to smaller entities)
This is the definition of extortion.
Whatever, regardless of the outcome, I and I'm sure plenty of others will never be returning to ads-infected internet.

I switched to uBlock Origin awhile ago after finding ABP to be a bit of a resource pig. Nothing bad to say about uBlock, just works.

Just remember that uBlock does nothing without the CONSTANT work of hundreds of people that maintain the actual filter lists...
