Escape from Tarkov Trailer [Nov 25, 2015, 8:42 pm ET] – Share – Viewing Comments
This new video offers
the first look at gameplay from Escape from Tarkov, the upcoming online
shooter from Russian developer Battlestate Games. Word is this is shot on a
pre-alpha build of the game, using its internal replay system. They are
accepting beta applications on the
Escape From Tarkov website, and offer this description to go along with the
clip:
Two private military companies, USEC and BEAR, clashed in conflict on the streets of a Russian city, forcing the local civilian population to flee. However, anarchy and lawlessness stroke a chord with some people, who are now called Savages around these parts. They flock into packs and fight for territories and resources on par with professional soldiers.
Shots and screams are incessant sounds hanging in the air, and tossed grenades are referred to as a "present". Harsh reality is abound in the game - one hit, and your character may be killed right away or bleed to death.
I can appreciate the critique, but this looks a little better than the current, or even past, fare. Leaning is always welcome, scope and/or ironsight is useful, and it has impressive lighting and texturing. I'm not fanatical in any way - this is the first I've heard of the game, and the first time I've seen it. But I reckon if they has included elements based on future technology, or a futuristic setting, I reckon this would be dismissed as a Black Ops ripoff.
