from Star Wars Battlefront shows off the Battle of Jakku, a scenario
based on the upcoming Episode VII. Word is: "Be among the first players to
experience the Battle of Jakku*, the pivotal moment when the New Republic
confronted key Imperial holdouts on a remote desert planet. Taking place in the
aftermath of the Rebel victory in the Battle of Endor, players will experience
the events that created the massive, battle-scarred landscape of Jakku shown in
Star Wars™: The Force Awakens™."

Well, excuse me for enjoying variety in the games that I play. I also don't agree with your assessment in it being shit, whether or not you like it has no bearing on the actual quality of the game.
Besides, there are already confirmed games coming from Bioware and Visceral, I don't think we have to worry about all Star Wars games being the same, and saying that one type of Star Wars game becoming popular will be at the detriment of all others is just faulty logic.

The beta was a lot of fun, I'm glad it didn't have the over used ADS mechanic and went for a more arcadey feel-the lack of true SP is sad, but I'm hopeful that we'll see expansions improving the game, not to mention more, better Star-Wars games in the future.
A 39s teaser with only 10s actual "gameplay" (scripted shit) and the rest logos and blahblah. Fuck you, EA. And fuck your overpriced lame-ass DLC-ridden casual arcade shoot'em up garbage game.

Or a whole three solid minutes based on how good the beta was. No way I'm buying this, I wouldn't pay 4 dollars for it let alone 40. Beta is a pretty good representation of the final game.

Pretty much my mentality. I'm going to buy it anyways, and since I get busy with real life commitments, the action of pre-ordering just takes one thing off my menu of to-do's. If I get tchotchkes from doing it, so-be-it, but I'm not doing it because of that.

It's funny that the part they use to tease with is the dramatic opening to the Jakku coop level, the same stuff you'd probably see in a single player campaign.

A) Don't buy this.
B) If you're going to, for god sake wait for launch at least. You could get Mad Max for half of what it was going for on the mainstream sites at launch at G2A. Doesn't always happen but you'll kick yourself if you pay $40+ bucks and could get it for half that.

the spectacle is what's uninteresting to me, that trailer was just more of what we already played in the beta. the gameplay on the otherhand... give it to me with jetpacks, no reloads, no ammo, no medpacks, fast regen, fast respawn, and keep the large epic battles.
give it to me twitchy and oldskool, and guns that shoot where i'm aiming, and you'll have my vote. not to mention zero hit-scan weapons. ugh... i can't wait, literally i'm buying a fucking call of duty game cause I've got the FPS shakes... it's bad

Yea gotta finish FC4 and DR3 (playing with Half) then get ready for JC3. Bummed it is a month away.
Waiting on FO4 until Spring/Mods.

It's 25% off. The email says up to 44% on several games, battlefront is 44.99.
