And what happens to the 1000s of other people in the same boat? Enh, it's one of those damned if you do and damned if you don't scenarios.

This isn't a zero sum game. Doing something positive for one person is not automatically doing something negative to everyone else.

Uh yeah it does. So what happens at that point? You think he's the only terminally ill person in the world who has a dying wish? You think he's the only terminally ill person who wants to see Star Wars? What do you tell them? Sorry, he's special but you're not so no. Or do you open the floodgates? People are going to be angry either way for both reasons.

Don't count on it. Episode 1 was still being worked on up until the last minute. In the first screenings, Maul didn't split in half when he fell.

To be fair, that wasn't a case of not having the shot done in time, that was a decision made after those first screenings since some people thought Maul survived it.

I wont get into the eventual irony of that.

I'd say let the poor guy see the movie, but on the flipside, I doubt it's done? I mean, filming etc is done, but post production work and editing are undoubtedly still ongoing?
I don't know how close up until release they work on these things but I would hope at a month and a half out it would be mostly in the can by now.

Yeah, one would hope that shit is done. They should have already sent whatever master copy to the factory to start producing those Hard drives they send to the theatres.

Editing is done according to JJ. All thats left is a couple weeks to finish a couple FX shots and a scoring session with John Williams.

I hope he gets to see it. Also hope someone sits him down and tells him the plot to 8 and 9. Only fair.
