Elder Scrolls Online Orsinium DLC Released

The Elder Scrolls Online website announces the release of the Orsinium DLC pack for the Windows and OS X editions of The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited, saying this will come later this month to the console editions of Bethesda's MMORPG. This post from last month has all the details along with this trailer showing off what to expect. Here's a bit:
The Orsinium DLC game pack, which boasts over 20 hours of story content and quests, will be accessible at no cost to those who have an active ESO Plus™ membership. Otherwise, it will cost 3,000 crowns in the ESOTU Crown Store. The base-game patch includes long awaited features such as gamepad support for PC, subtitles, LFG system improvements, and more.

I really love this game, and goaded Half Elf into playing it as well. It is so much fun. I just really enjoy being in the ES world. They have made a TON of changes to the game since day0. Some good some bad, but it is still a hell of a lot of fun.

(disclaimer: I am not a MMO fan, and I don't play MMOs - so I don't know all that bla bla this and that to compare to)

Why would you use a gamepad on a pc? The keyboard/mouse combo is so much superior, especially if you are doing pvp.

console peasants...

This is exactly what i've been waiting for them to do since it's release.

It's clearly made for a controller, and i'm enjoying it on my PC.

No matter what people say or think, I fucking love this game. It oozes with atmosphere, and when there's another period where there's a severe lack of good new games... I can't wait to jump back in.

At least this time, they made DLC PVE. The last DLC Imperial City was PVP only so they lost about 60% of their sales.

Technically this is their 3rd "mini expansion", and they rotate the content.

1st was Craglorn - Vetran area only, mostly group PvE
2nd was Imperial City - Any Level (scaled up to VR16), mostly PvP
3rd is Orsinium - Any level (scaled up to VR16), mostly solo PvE

Craglorn was back when the game was subscription based... so that's why it's not separate DLC like the other two.
Good point, forgot all about it being released back then.

I logged in yesterday after the patch, it' 44.9 gig now, not including mods. At least this time, they made DLC PVE. The last DLC Imperial City was PVP only so they lost about 60% of their sales.

To your Launcher question, no you can't just install the starting area (well afaik). You can leave your Launcher open all the time and it will download/update automatically. Have you thought about leaving it open during the night while your sleeping and day while your at work? If you can get 2-4 gig a day, it might not be too bad.

Has anybody installed this recently? I'm wondering if they have altered the launcher so players can start in a beginning area without having to download the entire game like most of these games do. When I bought the game it was over 40 gig download and that is too large for me to do in one session and I was having unresolved issues with the download starting over in between sessions so I still haven't got the game up and running on my computer.

I have it installed ATM - though I haven't played in 6 months, though it is up to date - and it's sitting at 41.9GB.

Subtitles...fucking SUBTITLES had to be patched in! Holy shit, from a company that's been developing games for DECADES...and they had to PATCH IN subtitles...

That blows my ever-loving-#!$^ mind!
