I got it from GMG for $46.20 USD (about $142,378 CAD), not region locked (as far as I know)

I don't see the appeal in CS:GO at all. Seems a pretty empty and soulless genre to me. Twitch shooters aren't fun at all to me, with the exception of Blacklight: Retribution, but that one is different somehow.

GTA5 though. That fucking lowrider update needs to come to single player. The multiplayer in that game has largely been an annoying, frustrating hackerfest in my experience. >:\

I've heard from several buddies who are Canadian that many console gamers up there are buying gaming PCs due to the high price of games since their dollar tanked. Some games are like $80-90 up there, shit is nuts.

I hope this is true.

But i can't see it... if it is true, I guess they figured their shit boxes were just top of line computers from 2007.

If it is true, I'm guessing it has something to do with gaming laptops being more viable than ever. A laptop with a 960M starts around $800 and will play most games @ 1080p easily. True AAA gaming on the go... not the IOS / Android Tablet crap.

Microsoft is not publishing sales of XBOX one anymore. That tells me that they are declining and that they may be in trouble...

Hopefully... the day they announce the shutdown of the ShitBox division (if ever but that day can't come soon enough) I'm going to chug-a-lug a magnum bottle of Veuve Clicquot.

Just need to drop this here - Rebel Galaxy is awesome.
Love the Privateer vibe and the soundtrack is excellent.
It allows you to set a custom music folder, but I haven't used it yet since the music the game comes with has been very fitting for the space cowboy feeling.

Get it and stop talking about Counter strike shiet yah.

Is this an assumption or is there data suggesting this? Just curious

You can roughly guesstimate it from the amount of sales per-unit on each platform, PC gaming either has eclipsed this year or by next year will eclipse all three consoles in terms of sales. What it means is either there's more people buying a PC while owning a console or making the switch from consoles to PC's.

Eh, digging through that Hexus article, it goes to CNet, which goes back to this PwC industry analysis report. As far as I can tell, the Hexus and CNet articles are just making stuff up, since they don't cite any data. PCs are awesome, VR woo. The PwC data isn't free, but their overview puts it in terms of social/casual games (PCs) overtaking traditional gaming (consoles), with the exception of South Korea, which they depict as the sole traditional gaming market dominated by PCs rather than consoles. According to them, overall video game growth between 2015-2019 will apparently be driven by social/casual gaming in countries in Eastern Europe, Russia, South America and SE Asia (excluding S Korea).

No one cares what your FPS preferences are.

CS:GO is on the list because its cheap, FPS games are still popular and PC gaming is growing again.

Unless there was a mass banning recently, and cheaters are stockpiling more keys or something.

Never played any flavor of CS.. Don't intend to... Same goes for CoD and BF (I did own 1942 though)...

I don't have CSGO. I used to play CS religiously but I'm done with it.

Same, use to play in a clan pretty regularly. Dont have CS:GO and dont think i ever will unless they give it away for free.
