Out of the Blue

Congratulations to the Royals on their American League pennant. The experts seemed convinced we would end up with a Cubs/Blue Jays World Series, but like the Mets, the Royals would have none of such expertise (in spite of Jose Bautista's heroic efforts). Here's looking forward to the Series, which is surprisingly the first ever between expansion teams, in spite of baseball's first expansion being well over 50 years ago.

Not familiar with the comic, but man that trailer goes to some dark places.

did you not watch Daredevil? it was pretty raw, they definitely put a new spin on Kingpin

I watched half of DD. Not sure why I didn't finish, think I just got busy with work/life. This looks darker than that.

Hey Blue,

Lately I keep forgetting to follow your banner to Amazon when I go buy something, and only ever remember after it's already been delivered.

I'm not sure if this is technically feasible or not, but is it possible for you to create an auto-forwarding page (to Amazon) off your own domain, that installs the cookie? So say there'd be a page called

www.bluesnews.com/amazonfwd

and if you go to that page, you automatically get taken to Amazon with that banner cookie in place?

I want to make sure you get some money off my amazon purchases, I just keep forgetting to go by here to click the link...

Just an idea.

Thanks!

I didn't realize you had a sponsored link to Amazon. I do most of my shopping there.

Good, it's about time some superhero show/flick did. That's why I can't stand these major features like the Avengers where there's city wide devastation, yet oddly enough, no collateral damage. No villains targeting civilians to make the heroes job harder. It'd be nice to see the heroes lose in a big way from time to time.

NASA - Massive Black Hole Shreds Passing Star.

That was pretty cool. Kind of what I'd expect if a star drifted too close to a a multi-million solar mass supermassive black hole.

This is probably not what you want or might not fit the purpose cookiewise, but what if you click on the AMazon link on Bluesnews, bookmark it, you could put that link\bookmark on your desktop.

"Objective knowledge, the idea of unity included, belongs to objective consciousness. The forms which express this knowledge when perceived by subjective consciousness are inevitably distorted and, instead of truth, they create more and more delusions. With objective consciousness it is possible to see and feel the unity of everything. But for subjective consciousness the world is split up into millions of separate and unconnected phenomena. Attempts to connect these phenomena into some sort of system in a scientific or a philosophical way lead to nothing because man cannot reconstruct the idea of the whole starting from separate facts and they cannot divine the principles of the division of the whole without knowing the laws upon which this division is based."

I'm happy for you and for me because now Toronto can STFU. Of course they won't. It's all people will be talking about until next year where of course, just like the Leafs, 'this is the year!' they'll win it all. Year in, year out, non-stop, it's beyond pathetic. This city, like most of this country, has some seriously deep seated psychological issues in their pathological need for validation from the US, 'Ooh look at us! We count! We matter!'

I did think it was funny that the final four teams use almost the exact same shade of royal blue as their main uniform colors.

Indeed... though the K is a scary place to visit. And welcome KC to our faux 50s park. It should be a bit more pleasant than our 60s park was, as Shea didn't even hold up into the 70s.
