possibility that Halo 5 will eventually make its way onto the PC
platform.
DSOGaming transcribed the following quote on the chances of a Windows port
of the shooter sequel:

to be fair since windows 10, they have at least commited to killer instict comming to PC with cross platform play with the xbone, and as a fighting game fan, i am happy about that.

Not believing until seen with my own eyes. This doesn't make sense unless they bring all the halo games to PC, otherwise that's a large chunk of story just skipped over - I could care less about halo multiplayer.

MS will only port games they don't really care about (GoW 1, Fable Legends, KI, etc). Halo is their killer app for Xbox so don't expect to see it on PC anytime soon. That's probably the reason why they haven't rereleased Halo 1 & 2 on Steam either. They'd rather you buy the MCC for Xbone.

I read this as "if the game doesn't sell as crazy awesomely as we hope, we'll toss it out on PC to try to make up the loss."
I won't hold my breath. I'll get it for the Xbone, enjoy the shit out of it with friends for a couple weeks, and be done with it. I don't use the Xbone much, and probably 90% of its entire power-on time has been spent in FH2, but that's ok.
