RE: "I’ll easily be the first to say that Star Citizen is too big to fail. If it fails, faith in crowdfunding will be gone, and other games which are doing well will suffer as a result, and many ideas that can’t get a publisher will just fade away, which isn’t acceptable for me. I really, really, want the game to succeed if nothing else for the industry. I also want it to succeed for those who have leveraged thousands of dollars on virtual spaceships. I don’t want to see gamers unhappy."
That right there is precisely why I'm a "Black Knight" (a critic of CIG) even after getting my $930 refunded. It's not that I want CIG and Star Citizen to crash and burn. I absolutely don't. I just want Chris to be honest* with EVERYONE because if they collapse "faith in crowdfunding will be gone". That's my selfish motivation for going after CIG vigorously.
*Honesty starts with sharing financial information so Backer's and the public can see everything is kosher.
I've said my peace. For those of you who will attack me by calling me names like asshole, troll and misogynistic this post isn't for you. It's for reasonable people; something you are not (today).
Any how I think I'm done with this drama. As it stands today CIG hasn't imploded. As long as they exist there doesn't appear to be any damage to crowdfunding. I'll go ahead and let you guys go Fight Club over each other... whoops, sorry. I talked about it. This comment was edited on Oct 5, 2015, 14:42.
