Out of the Blue

I expected the Petite Randy Moss DirecTV commercial to be pulled shortly after it was approved by bad judgment Rob Lowe, but I keep seeing it. I am not sure what they think is funny about that, but the approval rating on the video on YouTube suggests I'm not the only one who finds it a little mean, and I'm actually considered tall... I imagine I'd feel even more strongly about it if I wasn't. Seems tone deaf.

It never occurred to me that I wasn't the only one who doesn't like those commercials. I don't find them offensive or anything like that, just the assumption that their alternate personas are something to be ashamed of rubs me the wrong way. Especially the one with the weirdo guy who likes to knit and bake, even though I don't do either. Maybe because I was bullied in junior high for being a nerd and unathletic. Like a sports hero is as something we should all aspire to be.

Or maybe I'm just overthinking a stupid commercial.

Well, I think you're lying. You weren't a nerd. A nerd would know "unathletic" is not a word. In fact, I bet you were a popular jock. Admit it. You'll feel better coming clean.
