Battle.net now has a
preview of the upcoming patch for Diablo III that will bring the
action/RPG sequel to version 2.3.0. They describe a new overhaul of the crafting
system, a new zone that will help usher in new bounties and changes to the
bounty system, changes to Nephalem and Greater Rifts, and a better payoff for
Infernal Machines. They don't specify when the patch will go live, but they do
invite players to preview it on the PTR.

Diablo2 was created by much smarter people. You can't fix stupid.
It's funny, I've got so many D2 disks from when me, my gf at the time, my friends all played. I played D3 a bit, but it just feels dumbed down. Currently decided to give Inquisition a try, and I feel like going back and playing DA:O for like the 4th time instead. The consolitis hurts bad. Fewer skills, easier to use skills, fewer options, fewer builds, less epic battles...thankfully there are still games like Pillars of Eternity keeping the PC dream alive. No clue how all of these people are putting hundreds or thousands of hours into D3. I farmed, farmed, farmed, and it just got really boring. I'd gladly play $40-$50 for a graphically updated D2.
