If you're going to say it's incorrect, could you elaborate on why exactly????

Fair point. For a start, because it's the localhost address that means for the headline to be accurate the "seed" would have had to have been coming from the exact same machine used to compile the list. Highly unlikely. Of course, it's possible that the machine was briefly acting as part of a torrent swarm in order to get peer IP's, but that would very unlikely to be long enough to provide a full seed and in either case this would be an authorised act on the part of the agency hired to perform this locate-and-takedown function for the studio.

Also given the suffix to the localhost url, others have noted some some P2P systems run via a local proxy meaning that this full URL including the #/fr/ bit is a call to that proxy which then connects to peers from there. It could either have been left on the list by accident, or to avoid people googling this exact URL to locate more information connected with piracy and how to use these utilities. Either way, not a "pirated copy...seeded from its own servers".

So yeah, stupid clickbait headline, highly unlikely to be accurate. I think some of the things these companies do is disgusting and self-serving to a stupid extent, but I'd rather save the collective indignation for stuff that's actually true.
