Out of the Blue

It doesn't seem like a year already, but it's 7/11 here in the U.S. again, offering some free publicity for 7-Eleven and their free Slurpee day dealie. Apparently they are trying to expand this into a week, but that seems to be pushing it, and we could end up with a serious brain-freeze epidemic. Stay cool!

i wonder if the idea of a false flag attack will be considered in 100 years, once its just another paragraph in a history book

because right now, everyone wants to laugh at the idea that the gubment could ever be against the people they squeeze and feed on

No, it's the day the fascists won. I still say even if it wasn't an inside job they knew and let it happen. Big Brother arrived in a way that never would have happened otherwise if they had simply tried to do everything they've done without a major terrorist event. This was the modern day burning of the Reichstag.

That's a heartless thing to say.

Is it? Do you care about the Spain bombings or the London Bombings? About the Mumbai terrorist attacks? About the Tunisia shootings? About the Egypt bombings?

Do you remember those dates or details of the events?

To me 9/11 is the day the terrorists won

doesnt bother me, but the patrolling of insulting speech or whatever is pretty fucking arbitrary.. in the sense that its very specific in an irrational way - as if a direct reference is somehow worse than an indirect reference

but whatever man, do you

Yeah, on my To Watch list. Read an article with Josh Hartnett last year about how he dropped out of Hollywood a decade ago because he hated being famous and didn't want to be defined as an action star. Interesting dude.

i also highly recommend it. it's a great horror show, but in its quiet moments it also takes a deep look at what it means to be human surrounded by not just supernatural horror, but the horror of 19th century industrial london. the acting is out of this world good, and the dialogue is almost Shakespearean at times. artistically, definitely a step outside the box from modern television drama. just renewed for season 3 =DDDD

not to mention.. eva green Smitten

hey hey.... dibs! =P

is it weird that the thing i'm most excited about in that trailer is jeremy irons as alfred?

I am seriously going to cry when that movie comes out...

Speaking of trailers, here's a nice long one for Batman v Superman.

Looking better than I expected.

Yeah, I was a bit surprised, as I'd pretty much written that one off...still highly skeptical, but at least that part looked good.

Also seems to have its story in one of the more criticized elements of Man of Steel: the largely ignored consequences of the massive destruction caused by the fight against Zod.
