Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare - Supremacy Released

Activision announces that PC-loving Microsoft's Xbox exclusivity on the Supremacy DLC for Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare has concluded, and the pack is now available for Windows as well as a couple of PlayStations. Word is: "Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare Supremacy, the third DLC pack for Call of Duty®: Advanced Warfare is now available for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, and PC. London and Moscow are just two of the locations players will experience in a diverse collection of multiplayer mayhem, including the return of one of the most iconic multiplayer maps in Call of Duty® history, "Highrise," which first debuted in 2009's Call of Duty®: Modern Warfare® 2, now transported to the year 2054. Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare Supremacy includes four new, action-packed multiplayer maps, all featuring the new Exo Grapple mechanic, which adds a layer of fun and strategy to the experience." Here's a gameplay trailer.

At some point Kotick will look at the measly profits the PC version makes and just fold the operation and give the PC devs something else more profitable to work on.
Right now it is profitable enough. Will it stay that way? I dont know. Maybe, maybe not.

No "but". PC versions make money!
There is a difference between making money and making lots of money.

I am seriously interested to know how many of these map packs they actually sell on the PC for example

Sure they make money on it but ...
No "but". PC versions make money! That is all that matters to them. And they will release PC versions as long as there is enough money to be made. Some Lead Dev has nothing to decide on what platforms Activision games are released. If the bean counters say PC is profitable, then he is told: Make a PC version, pronto!

I think we may end up seeing the PC platform abandoned since the numbers are so much higher on the console platforms.
I hear people say that for years. For years the sales of the PC version dwarf in comparison to the console versions, even if digital sales are added (guessed ). And still ... every year Activision releases a PC version. Is it because Bobby runs a charity?

Sure they make money on it but it runs deeper than the bottom line, on the support side it's much easier to placate console gamers than PC gamers. Retrospectively I'm pretty sure the lead developer from Visceral on Battlefield Hardline would have liked to abandoned the PC platform for "his game", he pretty much said as much in an interview - something to the effect "It would be a shame to have to abandon the PC as a platform but the numbers are much stronger on consoles".

This series isn't going to last much longer, sales are plummeting every year after MW3.
This series will last at least another five years. I guess way more. Sales may be not as high as they were, but CoD is still one of THE most sucessful gaming franchises EVERY (!) EFFIN YEAR. Advanced Warfare? To this point around 20 mio. units on all plattforms. Why stop?

This reminds me of the reaction to Black Ops 3 at E3. Holy shit, you could hear the crickets. This series isn't going to last much longer, sales are plummeting every year after MW3.

The PC isn't the anchor platform for these games anymore, or hasn't been since Modern Warfare. They'll sell plenty of copies of BO3 on Xbox One and PS4. I think we may end up seeing the PC platform abandoned since the numbers are so much higher on the console platforms. Looking at BF Hardline it's the same thing, almost dead on the PC but quite vibrant on the consoles, PS4 taking the lead.

Yeah dare I say it, it's actually fun to play this but it doesn't seem to be very popular for some reason.
I think the console version are much more popular. The opposite is true with BF4

424 In-Game right now

surprising since as far as shooters go I would rate this much higher than say Evolve (740 In-Game).

I think they normally release the last map pack about a month or so before the next game comes out. This game is pretty much completely dead on the PC anyways.
I was trying to get in the other night to play a round or two of MP and it was just sitting on the looking for matches screen for literally minutes and couldn't find any.

...and the last map pack will be released just in time for Black Ops 3...
