After a long hiatus from playing BF3, I returned only to find that my account had been hacked. I was able to clear my account up, change my name and language settings, and set new security measures. So I put down money on a Premium pack which was on sale only to find I had been banned for the precise reason for leaving in the first place; and I couldn't play on any server with a half-decent ping.

No help from EA or PunkBuster - pointing the finger at each other. I can't come up with the words to describe just how much I loathe them both.

Sad thing is that I know I'm not the only person with this problem - EA openly admitted to their players being wrongly banned.

Right! You'll probably just need to go prone to activate the "you will never get hit by laser fire when prone" bug.

Looks very nice. Hopefully they won't pull a UBI, but even if they won't, they'll still pull an EA/Dice and it'll still run like shit for a year.

Well the last Battlefront was excellent! I just hope that the constant mine spamming that sucked all the joy out of the last game continues for this one also; since we're riding the nostalgia train i'd HATE for the douchebagery and rage quitting to be left out.

I think people are going to be disappointed when they find out there are no bots for the main game modes, only for the co-op "missions" like what is shown here and they've already talked down the challenge they'll provide by calling them the equivalent to "extras on a movie set".

Look at how much xbox360 and ps3 consoles have been holding everything back visually for years now. The idea of parity design with consoles will suck yet again with the latest versions being so under powered.

Glad I'm not the only one who feels this way. EA and DICE majorly mistreat their customers, much more than Activision and CoD. CoD wants much money for map packs, but at least all their stuff pretty much works day one!

Actually, I rewatched the multiplayer Hoth footage just now, and most of the characters didn't start with the jetpack, so it must be either a powerup or a class-based device. Personally, I think the jet packs and sheild generators are pretty cool and add tactical options to the gameplay, as well as being extentions of tech found elsewhere in the movies. That being said, there will probably be a way to set up a game without them so you can engage in more "classic" battles.

Eh, jetpacks on Stormtroopers is not new. In fact they took it straight from other extended universe stuff (IE, the Imperial Jump/Skytrooper). Its just a trooper with the type of jetpack-derived tech similar to Boba Fett's.

Anyways still not pre-ordering this - I've learned my lesson before with EA. I imagine it might 'ok' 2 years down the line when it is 'fully' released/patched and for cheap... IRL pals have stated they won't buy it right away.

total rip off of tribes with the jump packs...makes it feel like not Star Wars to me

GMG is the only place I see Battlefield on sale. I think they had 15-20% off Hardline on release.

Yeah they basically asking the same price for console and PC versions
EA always does this.
GMG usually have deals on EA games prior to release, or just wait for a deal from Origin after the game is out.
