Act of Aggression in September

Focus Home Interactive announces a September release window for Act of Aggression, their upcoming "techno-thriller" real-time strategy game. They celebrate the news with a new trailer showing Chimera gameplay. Here's word on this faction: "With an HQ that also acts as a power-reserve there's no stopping the development of the Chimera's diverse military capabilities; a heavy reliance on unmanned UAVs for exploration and transport, the Chimera can put its manpower into super-soldiers with exoskeletons."

Too bad nobody makes a sequel for World in Conflict, which was heaps and miles better than Act of War imo

Act of War Gold is actually on sale over at GoG for $5 right now. I thought I owned it but I don't see it in any of my accounts. Might have to pick that up.

I do lurv me some near-future RTS. And this is the same guys as the Wargame series, which is pretty good. The only caveat is that this is the follow-up to Act of War, which was just okay. That was a long time ago, so these guys must have learned a trick or two since then.

I thought Act of War (and its expansion) were pretty good. Better than most other RTSes of the time.

Hmm, I remember it being kind of buggy and the maps being a bit small. It's been a long time though, and I was playing a lot of Sup Com around the same time.

Here's the Act of Aggression video for the US Army faction.

And it doesn't look half bad either (unlike that grey poo thing).
