A mere 80 GB download on my 7 mbps DSL line, that'll only take 25 hours of 100% bandwidth, to enable a weekend of free play. That's a peculiar value proposition.

Yeah, I got my invite. I'll give it a whirl. It'll be good timing. I have to do a little outpatient stuff at the hospital that Friday so I'll be recouping at home over the weekend. What's the Blue's guild there anyway? Server? Guild name?

Forgot I was in the beta and got my code. I hope they'll allow me to pre-install the client since my internet sucks.

Well you can already get it for $40US +/- on some reseller sites like G2A so yeah, I'd suspect it'll come down quick. They had to go F2P because they didn't have the numbers to make a sub model viable. F2P isn't going to work either if people aren't buying the client and I can't imagine many are at this price point.
Cutter wrote on Apr 8, 2015, 21:41:I was thinking about that, now I'm not so sure they will do it again for at least 2 years. No reason now, they were trying to get people in to sub them. I'm betting the best sale might be a Flash sale in summer or winter for 50% off.
The client had gone down to $20 a few times and I imagine it will again before too long so you may want to hold off for now.

I got this invitation too, but frak that time limitation. Doesn't ESO have free play with limitations too? If so, then I'd rather play that and take my time.
