Lanning is astonishingly foolish. It's very fashionable to be down on capitalism, especially by people who have never read a word of Marx or Friedman or any philosopher or economist that can actually explain these ideas in detail. No, capitalism is bad because I heard someone I think is cool say it's bad and I hate having to read books. Let me say this utter affirmation: If you think communism or socialism is better than capitalism, you are astonishingly ignorant. All we have to go on is history, and history shows without question or even slight consideration otherwise, that capitalism is the best way of creating wealth for an entire society; low, middle and upper class. That lie about the rich getting richer and the poor getting poorer? It's the rich getting richer and the poor getting richer. That's a fact, check it. Every single society that has adopted communism or socialism has struggled and most often has failed. This is also a fact. Now you can cry foul and say that communism has been corrupted and not truly practiced, which is to say you're an idiot. If a system, put into place, doesn't work, it doesn't work. Period. I can claim I can fly, if only the winds were strong enough to carry me. I can't actually fly and there's no way it's going to happen. Insisting otherwise is just folly. Lanning is a jackass, through and through. He doesn't understand the first thing about capitalism, in fact, he's praising it here but the damn idiot doesn't even know it. He thinks capitalism only means huge companies. Ugh. I'm sorry, this is embarrassing and I've wasted far more effort than this discussion warrants.
