Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number Released

Developer Dennaton Games and publisher Devolver Digital announce the release of Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number for Windows, Linux, and OS X, with the various console editions of the "brutal conclusion to the gruesome saga" also appearing today or tomorrow, depending on systems and territory. There are details on the game and where to get it on the Hotline Miami 2 website, and here's a bit on the project:
Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number originally started as small DLC episodes for the original game, expanding on the events of Hotline Miami and following a set of new characters that were affected by the actions of the mysterious 50 Blessings group. These side stories grew to become larger than Hotline Miami itself and the decision was then made to create a full sequel in Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number that would bring the saga to a close.

Fans can purchase Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number and the Digital Special Edition that includes the exclusive Hotline Miami 2: Remix EP featuring six select music tracks remixed by M|O|O|N, Scattle and Carpenter Brut. The full 49-track official soundtrack is also available to purchase on Steam and includes high quality MP3 and FLAC versions of each song.

Same. I actually just open someone's game feed and minimize it to listen to the music. I still haven't opened my vinyl set - my game key is in there, but I can't play anyway.

I'm doing a series of this game for my YouTube channel but so far I'm loving it. It's more of the same in many ways but in the best ways. More story, more environments, more characters, more weapons. It's also apparently twice as long as the first game. I'm lucky I guess in that my experience has been rock solid so far, which is definitely wasn't in the first one. If you liked the first game, I wholeheartedly recommend this one. My channel's in my signature if you want to see a bit of it in action.

For those of you that have played it, is there anything in particular that sets this one apart from the first one? Found the first one ridiculously addictive but got frustrated with a boss battle where I kept dying and had to repeat the level to get back to the boss battle only to die again ... i.e. I still haven't finished the original. Is it worth it to jump into the next one or should I just go back and finish the first game?

I had some control issues at first, but it's working fine now. The first few missions were very frustrating. A few levels in I'm having more fun, but my 'R' key is still getting a workout. Averaging around 50-100 deaths per floor.
The music is just as good as in the first game, and there is more of it. Too bad it costs $35 to get the game+soundtrack+EP. No more .ogg files in the game dir.

It's a buggy mess for many - myself included. At least the devs are actively patching the game...
