20-25GB for a patch? If you have a strict bandwidth cap, I'm guessing your language selection will be salty.

The patch is actually only a little over 5 GB in size, once expanded its takes up around 20 to 25 GB.

English language version, I checked like two days ago for a patch and it showed up to date.
So far, I've downloaded 24GB+ in patches, first was like 12GB, then one for a couple hundred, one for about 5GB, another for about 3 or 4GB, another small one of a couple hundred, about a 2GB one, now one that's about 3.5GB or so . . .

Right so an old game is going to have a high cost of entry, so we'll have to wait for a sale at some point. I think this makes more sense if it was brand new, they hype and all. But who is wanting to pay $60 in any kind of numbers now for ESO?

Except that it is a brand new game... for consoles. If it was free on PC's a nice portion of the console crowd would say F this game, that's not fair.

I'm not defending any decisions here, I'm just thinking this is the logic behind it all.

It also has more content than Skyrim....sooooo.......

That seems more reasonable.

Fair enough, for Console gamers, makes sense, for PC gamers, $60 will be a tough swallow today.

But a real question, have the fixed the issue with a group and phasing if someone is one a different sub-part of a quest? It was promised but at least 6 months ago that was still in there and seemed like it was abandoned.

It's still a work in progress, but a majority of them don't make your groupmates invis anymore, for being in a different quest step. Probably around 75% or so of the zone quests are fixed.

Guild and personal story are still, and always will be solo only.

Hope that helps.

Thanks, that was thee game breaker for me. Will check out the patch notes, maybe...

No, they've stated it will be B2P. You still need to buy the game, the sub is what's going away (well... becoming optional). The Secret World does this too.

Better going Star Wars route, let us all try it for free, have a ftp and a monthly pay route. If good, I'd go monthly.

You still need to purchase a boxed copy of the game to get an account key.

Im not sure that will be necessary once it goes F2P. Thats the whole point of F2P. Now, those who do own a copy with a key once it does go free, will have higher tier access to things within the game whereas someone who is coming in first time and free will usually have more stipulations on what you can and cant do.

Yeah, I've been keeping an eye out for a cheap key but there are none right now because they pulled virtually all the old copies everywhere. I think they're stoned if they think they can ask $60 for a client as an F2P game - particularly when it's all been setup for consoles anyway.
I'd pay $20 to give the game a run through once now but that's it, so doesn't look like I'll be checking it out anytime soon.

Was looking to get into ESO, but 60 bucks is still too steep an entry point.
Are there any reputable key purchasing sites anyone can suggest to get a cheap account key?

Wait a few more weeks, the game goes free to play on the 12th I believe.

Spent most of my time redistributing all of my attribute, skill, and champion points across all of my characters... so I didn't have a huge amount of time to test the changes on each character (I have 4 that are active).

That said, bow seems weaker... and everything else seems a little beefier. It may be that I'm just not used to the animation timing changes... I don't know.

Champion System is kind of meh. I know they nerfed some shit in order to accommodate for it. It's just hard to tell what got nerfed with all the number changes. Technically, they took some stuff away that we have to re-earn.... but overall it seems to be a positive change in balancing power since most of my characters don't feel nerfed, but actually feel a little more powerful.... so I guess they did it right.

If anyone has installed this new ESO patch, it was massive. Its basically an over haul of the entire game. I was playing around with it last night and its a really nice patch. There are so many new things you can do now like pick pocketing citizens and murdering them to in town.

Also, all of the skills and powers have been re done.

XBatmanX if you see this please message me, I need to talk to you about the Guild in game. I need Officer status please.

Read the patch notes, its a pretty amazing patch.

The New DAI patch that adds Mouse Toggle support is really nice to. Check it out guys!
